Inaugural Head To Toe Women'S Expo In Orange County Is Smashing Success

Thousands of attendees came from near and far to refresh and rejuvenate at the inaugural Head to Toe Women's Expo at the Orange County Fairgrounds on September 28, 29 and 30, 2007. Presented by Ralphs Grocers, the Head to Toe Women's Expo assembled esteemed professionals from a wealth of industries that cater to women. Women from all over Southern California enjoyed more than 250 exhibits, attended a fabulous fashion show featuring local and regional designers, and sampled gourmet food from celebrity chefs. New this year was the "Head to Toe Make-Over Ambush," where one lucky attendee was chosen at random to receive free hair, make-up and fashion consultation, products and services.

Chef Marcela Valladolid from Discovery en Espanol celebrated her national television debut with us, with a cooking demonstration of Baja Mediterranean cuisine. Guests had a chance to sample this revolutionary concept of Mexican meals, as well as ask her questions about what to have her own network cooking show!

ABC Daytime actor Aiden Turner from "All My Children" gave fans a behind the scenes, candid look at life of an actor working in New York on the set of one of the hottest TV programs. A former chef in Europe, he also talked about his personal passion for cuisine and travels throughout Europe. A true gentleman, Aiden took photos and signed autographs with fans. Melissa Mattera from San Pedro and Julie Marks from Alta Loma won a lunch date with Aiden before he returned to the East Coast.

Television producer-turned-author Judy Steinberg addressed the crowd with tips from her book, "Fabulous After 50, Sexy At 60." A salute to the new generation of vital successful and gorgeous older women, Fabulous is the grown-up women's guide to a new life and feeling your best. In case you missed her, Ms. Steinberg will also be at the San Diego show in November 2007.

While the Fashion Show turned some heads and inspired some makeovers with the latest fall fashions, it was the action before the show that was truly inspirational. Ralphs Grocers donated $100,000 to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Foundation Orange County.

Many women flocked to hear advice from Michelle Anton, author of "Weekend Entrepreneur: 101 Great Ways to Earn Extra Cash," as she encouraged women that they can have it all and how to start a career doing the things they love. Many women struggle with trying to balance a career, home, and motherhood. Anton's encouragement gave women support and ideas to take the leap.

We look forward to returning to Orange County in October 2008. Don't miss out on all of the fun! Keep in touch with us by signing up for our newsletter .
